Portico

Portico is a historic mansion at Pylewell Park, within the New Forest. The front elevation had failed and needed structural repair as a matter of urgency — we were called in to make the building safe and then to restore it properly.

The work combined structural repair with skilled, traditional restoration: rendering matched to the original finish, reinstatement of the running mould cornice, a new turned timber balustrade, and bespoke stonework to the bath. Each element was carried out to sit honestly alongside the existing fabric.

As with all our listed building work, the project was treated with the same care as any other — a clear programme, one point of contact, and a finished job that respects the character of the building.
