A project programme and schedule showing work stages

Our Process

How We Manage Your Project

Introduction

A building project is mostly a series of decisions, made in the right order and at the right time. The way we run a job is designed to make that straightforward: clear pricing at the start, a programme everyone has seen, and no surprises on the final account.

The Timeline

From first enquiry to handover

01Enquiry

You tell us about the project and send over any drawings. We will say honestly whether it is the right job for us.

02Survey & Pricing

We visit the property, go through the drawings and specification, and price the work in detail, item by item.

03Programme

Before anything starts, we set out the sequence of works and the key dates, and agree them with you and your architect.

04Build

Work begins. The site is set up, protected and kept tidy, and you get regular updates as it progresses.

05Handover

We walk the finished job with you, work through any snags, and hand over the certificates, warranties and manuals.

06Aftercare

We stay available after handover. If something needs attention, you call us and we come back.

How We Keep You Informed

You always know where things stand

Itemised pricing

Every cost is broken down and listed, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and compare like with like.

A programme before we start

The sequence of works and the key dates are set out and agreed before the first day on site.

Regular progress updates

Photos and a short update as the job moves on, so you can follow it without having to be there.

One point of contact

You deal with the same person throughout, from the first visit to handover.

Changes agreed in writing

Any change is priced and agreed with you in writing before the work is carried out.

A complete handover pack

Certificates, warranties, manuals and drawings, collected and handed over at the end of the job.

Quality & Attention to Detail

Checked at each stage

The difference between a good job and an average one is usually in the parts nobody photographs: how the substructure is set out, whether the services were thought about before the plasterboard went on, how the joinery meets the floor. We check the work at each stage rather than at the end, and we snag the job properly before we hand it over.

Aftercare

What happens after handover

Our responsibility does not finish at handover. If something needs adjusting after you move back in, call us and we will sort it out. Doors and timber move slightly as a building settles, and that is normal. Putting it right is part of the job.
